First of all thank you so much for organising out holiday. Our verdict; it was a good trip. It was a calm and peaceful experience, it didn’t feel rushed or busy – perhaps it was because it was the end of the low season? This is a joint letter which Esi started and Joe added to. Where you read ‘I’ that would be Esi.
Tanzania is very different from South Africa and Botswana. It’s not as commercial as South Africa. One of the camp managers (Sasha) at Lamai described it as “the South African’s put on a jolly good show, this is the real thing”! We would be happy to travel with any of our guides again. Joe rates them at the top of his expert guide list considering the 9 safaris he has taken. They impressed us with their willingness to go out early, stay out past lunch time, then take us out again after a two or so hours of rest, and then get us back to camp in the dark. We enjoyed the fact that they enjoyed guiding. Camp staffs were outstanding at all the lodges. Happy camp staffs make for a good guest experience and the people were happy to see us, make us comfortable, attend to our needs, and were unobtrusive in carrying out their tasks. Food was excellent throughout the trip.
Accommodations were on the whole very good. The facilities were clean and the beds were comfortable. Joe would have preferred knowing about the “chemical” toilet at Serengeti Safari Camp before arriving.
Wildlife was amazing. We saw 3 of 5 rhino’s in the park at Laimai. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and a long list of other animals were in abundance. Most important was the fact we could get out in the parks by ourselves and see all these things. There were times when we could see no other vehicles! We also came across some of the wildlife close to the road with huge traffic jams of visitors. That made the time alone out in the bush even more special. Serengeti is a different experience compared to concentration of animals and visitors in Botswana or South Africa.
Once again thank you for organising our trip
Esi and Joe
This is to inform you that me along with my wife and daughter had the pleasure of doing the Safari with your company. We had booked through our local agent, Splendour Holidays, Goa for the safari starting on 23rd Dec from Kilimanjaro and ending at Arusha for onward to Zanzibar.
I must record my complete satisfaction with your personnel Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Karim. We were met at the Airport and picked up by them. After a warm welcome and brief introduction we were taken to our Hotel.
From the next day Karim was with us for the Safari to Lake Manyaara, Serengati and Ngorongoro. Throughout the tour he was very well mannered and kept us well informed about all the things concerning the tour and exhaustively answered all our queries. Upon our arrival at Arusha we were met again my Mohammed and he too was very helpful and extremely eager to please. Our transfer to the airport at Arusha and the help he rendered at the airport was invaluable.
I cannot find words to express my gratitude to the two of them, without whose guidance our safari may not have been as pleasurable as it was. I will make sure to recommend your company to all my friends who may be making a journey that side.
I do hope you convey our best wishes and thanks to the two, Mr. Karim and Mr Mohammed.
