highlights of the country - it is an ideal opportunity to rediscover
the grand and exotic wilds of Kenya and connect once more to
the cradle of mankind.

Day One - NAIROBI
You arrive in NAIROBI and you will be met by the AFRICAN QUEST
SAFARIS representative outside customs and immigration hall.
He will facilitate your transfer to HOUSE OF WAINE - an 11 room
boutique hotel located in the outskirts of Nairobi in Karen.
You check-in and stay overnight. As a value add - on this day
you can visit the nearby - Karen - Blixen Museum and the Girraffe
Manor.

Day Two -
NAIROBI/MERU
After having breakfast at the hotel, you attend the safari briefing
and travel to Wilson Airport for your regular Air Kenya flight
to MERU National Park departing at 07h45. On arrival, our representative
will meet you and help you transfer to ELSA'S KOPJE CAMP for check-in,
followed by lunch. The afternoon will be spent in a game drive
in the park. Your dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Day Three -
MERU
Activities
On day three you will spend the full day at MERU with various
activities - these will include - two game drives in Meru National
Park, a nature walk, night safari and sundowner. meals and overnight
stay will be at the camp.
Views & Vistas
The forests of Meru are thick with vegetation with tall grass
and stands of Doum Palm surrounded by rolling hills and stark
kopjes. This is the location where the world famous lioness
Elsa, of "Born Free fame, was returned to the wild in the
1950's. The isolated unspoilt wilderness allows you the freedom
to explore the park at a relaxed pace without encountering other
people. Game tracking will be challenging, but very rewarding.
Lions are often seen on high rocky outposts, and large herds
of buffalo and elephant can also be found. Other species that
are to be found include reticulated giraffe, oryx, lesser kudu
and eland.

Day Four -
MERU/LAIKIPIA
Activities
On day four you have breakfast at the camp and travel to the
airstrip for your charter flight to NANYUKI, departing at 09h00.
You arrive and connect with a charter flight to LAIKIPIA, departing
at 10h00. You will be met by our representative who will assist
your transfer by lodge vehicle to BORANA LODGE. Your check-in
to the lodge will be followed by lunch. You will spend the afternoon
with a game drive in the ranch. Dinner and overnight stay will
be at the lodge.

Day Five -
LAIKIPIA
You spend the full day in Laikipia and can participate in the
various activities offered at the lodge. Your meals and overnight
at is arranged at the lodge.
Views & Vistas
Laikipia has a unique environment with large
privately owned ranches that seem to stretch for ever. This
spectacular region is considered the gateway to Kenya's wild
Northern frontier country. It is an area of beautiful wilderness,
where protected game roams freely and safely. Centered on the
original Laikipia National Reserve, this area is a sanctuary
for elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and a wealth of plains
game, including many endemic northern species.

Day Six -
LAIKIPIA/MASAI MARA
Activities
On day six you have breakfast at the lodge and travel to the
airstrip for your charter flight to NANYUKI. On arrival you
connect to an Air Kenya flight, departing for MASAI MARA National
reserve at 10h00. At the Musiara airstrip, you will be met by
our representative who will help you transfer to the IL MORAN
CAMP for check-in, followed by lunch. This is an exclusive five-star
camp, located on a thickly forested river in the middle of the
Maasai Mara reserve. It offers you the ultimate wilderness retreat,
where you can watch elephants or giraffes drinking from the
privacy of your verandah. In the afternoon you can take a game
drive in the reserve. Your dinner and overnight stay will be
at the camp.

Day Seven -
MASAI MARA
Activities
On day six you spend the day in the Masai Mara- a thriving park
that is almost the nearest equivalent of the Garden of Eden
!
You spend the whole day at this reserve with a game drive in
the morning and the afternoon. Your meals and overnight stay
is arranged at the camp.
Views & Vistas
Masai Mara Game Reserve is widely considered
to be Africa's greatest wildlife reserve. The Mara comprises
200 sq miles of open plains, woodlands and riverine forest.
The reserve shares a border with the plains of the Serengeti.
The Mara is home to a breathtaking array of life. You will find
herds Zebra, Giraffe, Gazelle, and Topi roaming over the vast
grassland plains. The Acacia forests abound with birdlife and
monkeys. Elephants and buffalo wallow in the wide Musiara Swamp.
The Mara and Talek rivers are full of hippos and crocodiles.
As an exciting value addition to your tour, you can include
a Hot-Air Balloon Safari along with a Champagne Bush breakfast.
MASAI MARA/NAIROBI
This is the last day of your safari. You begin your day with
an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp.
You then transfer to the Olkiombo airstrip for your schedule
Air Kenya flight to NAIROBI, departing at 11h00. On arrival
you will be received by our representative who will accompany
you to the CARNIVORE RESTAURANT for lunch. You transfer to the
NORFOLK HOTEL where a day room has been reserved for your use
until 18h00. In the evening, you transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International
Airport for your outbound flight.
