The AQS 609 – 6½ day Mt. Kenya/Samburu – Lakes
Nakuru/Naivasha – Maasai Mara.
DAY 1
Leave Nairobi in the morning to reach the small market town of Nyeri
in time for lunch. After lunch, drive through the forest to a tree
hotel (Ark, Treetops, Mountain Lodge) to spend the night.
 DAY
2
After breakfast, drive north to reach Samburu Game reserve, arriving
in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of game peculiar
to the area.
DAY 3
Another exploration of this beautiful reserve where game abounds,
especially in the forested fringes of the Uaso Nyiro river which
flows gently through the dry landscape. Lunch is followed by yet
another game drive.
DAY 4
Leave after breakfast and drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare
Mountains to descend into the Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located.
Visit the world famous sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch
and overnight at a lodge or camp in the park or proceed to Lake
Naivasha where the night is spent at a Lakeside lodge. |
